A Bountiful Day of Joy
Kathleen and AJ are a lovely, mellow couple. They met in architecture school and without a lot of fanfare, gradually came to know that they were ready to build a life together. One of their dreams is to design and build a home one day but first we had a wedding to design and build. Where better to plant the seeds for your marriage than at a place called Bountiful Farm. Everything about Kathleen’s and AJ’s wedding day and ceremony was as sweet and relaxed as they are. They had chosen to share their vows privately and the cathedral of cedar trees (and a few cows as witnesses) provided the perfect sanctuary for their commitments to each other. Family and friends gathered, the wedding party were all dressed up and ready for photos and finally it was time to gather at our alter (along with more cows). Beautiful attendants arrived to support our groom, and then little, tiny attendants arrived with the help of parents, and finally our bride and her father walked down the grassy aisle with soft music, guardian trees, a few twigs and bees in the bride’s wedding gown train, and sparkling tears in the guests eyes. Kathleen and AJ engaged in the ancient tradition of Hand Fasting and literally “tied the knot”, a symbolic gesture of proclaiming, for now and ever after, we will walk hand in hand and face life together. They then exchanged rings and in the same quiet way as we began, poof it was time to proclaim: “I now pronounce you, husband and wife, you may kiss each other!” Our small gathering of Dearly Beloveds cheered and cried more tears and the cows moo’ed their approval and blessings. Another blessing for these two very creative souls, is that they have artists on both sides of the family and so off they went to their reception in the barn. So much magic!!! Photo displays, games for the kids to play and lovely lights and dining tables ready to continue the bountiful celebrations.
Blessings to you dear Kathleen and AJ. I am completely certain that upon this gentle, bountiful foundation you will build a beautiful marriage. (I hope you will invite me to your home when it is built also) Love Grace
